Installing and maintaining the Zero Charger is quick and easy because it involves only two components: the station and the cable (for the fixed cable version). All you need is a qualified electrician to install the Zero Charger where you want it, and then with its unique LCD Display, you can set up your EV charging station quickly and accurately.

How to choose?
The following simple Q&A can help you decide if you need to buy this product：
Evolo Charger is using mode 3 charging mode. The mode 3 charging cable is more of a connector cable. It connects your electric car to the charging station. In Europe, for instance, the type 2 plug is the standard plug type.
- Type 1 Plug：The type 1 plug is a standard in most electric cars from the US and Asian region. It’s quite rare in Europe, which explains the very small number of type 1 charging stations. And in terms of charging power, this single-phase plug boasts levels up to 7.4 kW (230 V, 32 A).
- Type 2 Plug： Unlike the type 1 plug, this is a triple-phase plug that’s more of a standard model across Europe, an explainer of a large number of type 2 charging stations. And the best thing about it is the excitingly higher charging levels. It can go up to 22 kW in private stations, while public charging stations charging power levels can go as high as 43 kW (440 V, 63 A, AC).
However, please do not rely on region or country alone to determine whether you should choose a type 1 or type 2 plug; always check which plug your electric vehicle uses first. If you are worried about choosing the wrong plug, then the universal socket version is a safe and flexible option.
- All colours come as socketed and with type 2 connectors, but only the black has a tethered option with a 5-metre cable attached.
- The socketed EO charger doesn’t come with a separate detached cable. You will need to make sure that you have a suitable cable, which is usually included with the purchase of your electric vehicle. Or you’ll need to purchase your own.
- If you decide to go for the tethered version, make sure you want the Type 1 Plug or the Type 2 Plug as your charger is customised and cannot be changed once the Plug type has been installed.
- If you need the charger to be able to use two different Plug Types, we recommend that you choose the universal socket version.
